🌆 Iconic Singapore Experiences (Must-Dos)

  • Visit Marina Bay Sands SkyPark (even if you don’t swim). Visit CapitalSpring free of charge on weekdays for the same experience but different perspective

  • Swim in the Infinity Pool (once in your life if you can afford it😌)

  • Walk around Gardens by the Bay (day and night). Most importantly, must visit the Cloud Forest dome.

  • Catch the Supertree Grove light show. Go early and lie down to watch. Magical much!

  • Take a photo with the Merlion (touristy but compulsory)

  • Stroll the Marina Bay waterfront loop in the cool evening

  • Go up Singapore Flyer at sunset or...

  • Take the river cruise from Clarke Quay

  • Watch the Spectra light & water show after the Supertree Grove light show

🌿 Nature & Outdoors

  • Walk the Southern Ridges (Henderson Waves → Mount Faber)

  • Hike MacRitchie Treetop Walk

  • Kayak or paddleboard at Kallang Basin

  • Explore Pulau Ubin by bicycle and experience the old Singapore

  • Spot wildlife at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

  • Do a sunrise walk at East Coast Park and take a hike to the longest pier in Singapore

  • Catch golden hour at Labrador Nature Reserve

  • Night safari walk at Bukit Timah Hill

🍜 Food & Hawker Culture (Very Important Section)

  • Eat at a Michelin-listed hawker stall (most of them at Amoy Hawker Center)

  • Try chicken rice at a classic stall (You can get them anywhere, but Maxwell is the one)

  • Slurp laksa at Katong. Make the effort to try George's Laksa!

  • Have chilli crab with mantou. Do it at our local seafood stalls instead of swanky restaurants

  • Eat satay at Lau Pa Sat after 7pm or, better yet, sample it at East Coast Lagoon Food Village

  • Try char kway teow cooked over charcoal at Zion Road Hawker Center

  • Go on a hawker centre food crawl (check out our page here)

  • Have kaya toast & kopi for breakfast. Yakun/Wang are chains. Most authentic: Heap Seng Leong Coffeeshop

  • Order kopi properly (“kopi-o kosong”, anyone?) 

  • Eat durian during the season at Geylang

  • Supper at Bedok Block 85 Market  / Geylang. Halal? Try Simpang Bedok

  • Visit Maxwell, Chinatown Complex, Old Airport Road (more?)

 

🏮 Culture & Heritage

  • Wander Chinatown beyond Pagoda Street

  • Explore Little India (Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple)

  • Visit Kampong Glam & Sultan Mosque.

  • Night life at Haji Lane

  • Step inside a heritage shophouse

  • Tour Peranakan houses in Joo Chiat. Look for Alvin's The Intan and Katong Antique House. Reservations needed.

  • Visit National Gallery Singapore especially the roof top

  • Learn Singapore history at Asian Civilisations Museum

  • Learn Singapore's history at the National Museum

  • Walk the Civic District

  • Visit a traditional Chinese medical hall

  • Attend a cultural festival (Thaipusam, CNY,  Vesak, Deepavali, Hari Raya)

 

🛍️ Shopping & Urban Life

  • Walk the full stretch of Orchard Road. Seriously, it is walkable!

  • Explore Bugis Street (for chaos & bargains)

  • Shop indie brands at Haji Lane

  • Visit Jewel Changi Airport

  • Go to the other end of the Singapore to shop at Jurong JEM and IMM

  • See the Rain Vortex in action at Jewel

  • Do a late-night mall walk (Singapore style)

  • Visit local wet markets. Tiong Bahru morning is the best, including breakfast!

  • Explore neighbourhood malls like a local like Ang Mo Kio, Toa Payoh, Boon Lay, Jurong West and Bedok

  • Universal Studios Singapore

  • SEA Aquarium

  • Mandai Reserve (Night Safari, Singapore Zoo (open-concept habitats), River Wonders and Bird Paradise)

  • Cable car ride from Mount Faber to Sentosa

  • Catch a show at Esplanade

  • Sunset at Marina Bay. Stand next to Art Science Museum and watch the sun set behind the city skyline

  • Sunset at Raffles Marina with its lighthouse

  • Rainy day street photography and look out for water puddles for reflection

  • Neon shots in Clarke Quay

  • Black-and-white shots of old estates especially Tiong Bahru and Toa Payoh. See how we hang our clothes to dry.

  • Capture hawkers at work at our heartland Hawker Centers (Chinatown Complex too)

  • Long exposure of skyline at night and create light streaks created by the river boats

  • Drone-style views from Marina Bay (legally and keep it under 60m 😉)
